PHP Moodle Developer - Mid/Senior

Job Description:

As a skilled Moodle developer you will design and implement attractive and functional Moodle
plugins/themes/extensions. You will primarily be responsible for back-end development,
integration, maintenance, deployment, security and other Moodle platform related tasks.

To be a successful Moodle developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL and frameworks like Laravel. You should also have a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Additionally you must have strong communication skills, a good work ethic and strong personal project management skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user requirements and business process to design solutions
  • Determine the work effort and estimate the necessary time-to-completion
  • mplement design to build solutions based on Moodle/PHP
  • Implement Multi-tenant Scalable Moodle architecture
  • Coordinate with other developers, Manager and client, develop, test, and maintain applications built on PHP and Moodle technologies
  • Integrate with plugins on different platforms
  • Managing and maintaining back-end including database and servers
  • Support Moodle/PHP implementations and resolve any technical issues
  • Maintain high standards of project quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
  • Reporting status on plans with senior management
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven work experience as a Moodle/PHP developer
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
  • Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
  • Good communication skills

Key Skills:
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development with OOPS concepts and frameworks
  • Source control with git
  • Familiar with configuring Apache, nginx or other web server
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
  • PHP, Moodle,JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, MYSQL & Restful APIs
  • Good understanding and experience of any SQL based database. MySQL is preferred
